I'm just wondering if anyone wanted to share any general tips tricks and strategies for the overlord. At the moment I have just played the 2nd quest in the campaign and I've only just lost both times.Here are some things that I've learnt (or read on here):
- Be aware of hero abilites (Whirlwind and Tumble both have smashed me)
- Really take time to pick monsters that suit the quest (eg. don't pick fleshmoulders when there is a reinforce anyways)
- Build a deck on the first encounter
- Monster positioning is vital.Use melee for choke points, spread out the ranged units.
- Be brutal (I chose easier units and helped heroes with strats.
Also, some questions/thoughts:
- Is it worth trying to damage heroes as much as possible first encounter, then fatigue in second?
Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you've played overlord and do well.
